My daughter Ondrea reminded me of the problem of bad grammar, bad spelling and illegible writing. Partially brought on by the use of 'texting', people are becoming so slack with how they write. They don't check what they have said or how they have said it. The same is true for what we say verbally. Just let it all hang out is the common philosophy. If someone is offended, then tough, they need to get a life. I am not my brother's keeper.
Written and verbal communication is about connecting with people. this can result in anything from mere acquaintances to best friends. Do you want to go through life with just a bunch of acquaintances that you really don't know at all? Or would you prefer to have a group of friends that, not only you can rely on, but will rely on you.
Check your communication, oral and written. Think about what you say, how you say it and how you present it. How would you like to receive that same message from someone you know?
There are a lot of facets to showing someone that you care for them. Your communication with them, however, is a biggie. Choose your words, how you say them and how you present them.
Show the person that they are important enough to you, that you take the time to check what you say and how you say it, verbal and written.
